Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, which is an autonomous body under the Government of India.
IICT is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (drugs, agrochemicals and industrial organics), Inorganic & Physical Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering and Design Engineering. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals in prescribed proforma for the following posts to provide core manpower of various specializations to the Laboratory research programs supported at National and International levels:
03. Technical Officer ‘A’ Gr. III(3): (7 posts)
Pay Scale/Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) with Grade Pay Rs.4600/- (T.E. = Rs. 24005/-p.m.)
Post Code: TOA1; Area: Technical Management services / Technical Assistance Services (4 posts - UR-1, OBC-2, SC-1)
EQ&E: M.Sc. (Physics /Chemistry /Material Science /Environmental Science /Life Sciences /Computer Science /Information Technology) or equivalent, with minimum of 55% marks and three years relevant experience.
JR: Candidates applying for positions in the Business and Technical areas are required to handle Activities of the institute like preparing technical profiles, project summaries, progress reports, Biennial Reports, News Letters, Multimedia presentations on R&D activities process Patent applications, legal agreements and prepare documents leading to business negotiations etc and also assist in work pertaining to national and international projects, Publications, coordination of important meetings like Technical Committee meetings, visit of Indian and Foreign delegates, R&D seminars/conferences and lectures, drafting of letters etc.
DQ&E: Good English writing and communication skills. Computer knowledge and exposure to IPR issues preferably coupled with a law degree are desirable for candidates applying for business and research management areas. Good working knowledge in computers and communication skills
Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate application forms. The application has to be submitted in prescribed proforma issued by IICT available on IICT website which can be downloaded from www.iictindia.org or it can be obtained from the “Recruitment Section, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad- 500607”, by sending a request alongwith a self-addressed envelope of the size of 23x11 cms affixed with postage stamps of Rs.10/- OR can also submit online by sending a hard copy of the online application bearing the registration number of the online application. The application/hard copy needs to be signed and supported by attested copies of the certificates along with DD should be forwarded to Director, IICT, Hyderabad, on or before 26.04.2010. Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in case of OBC/UR candidates, in the form of Demand Draft valid for atleast 6 months, drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, payable at Hyderabad should be enclosed with application form. At the back of the DD indicate your name and date of birth. Application Form without application fee will be rejected
However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of fee. Filled in application may be sent in an envelope superscribing “Application for the post of ………... Post Code…….” To The Recruitment Section, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad 500 607 so as to reach on or before 26.04.2010. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
