B1 & B2 Chemical Biology (2 posts)
Post Code : B1 (1 post) Essential Qualifications & Experience: 1st Class M.Sc. in Molecular Biology or Genetics; OR Ph.D in Molecular Biology or Genetics (preferably Drosophila genetics)
Job Requirement: To be part of the Chemical Biology group to carry out R&D activities in Drosophila genetics, cytogenetics and developmental biology with special emphasis on RNA interference technology, siRNA and miRNA cloning etc.
Desirable: Ph.D with post doctoral experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as Real time PCR, Confocal microscopy, screening of small molecules using Drosophila as model organism and general fly handling.

Job Requirement: To be part of the Chemical Biology group to carry out R&D activities in Human cell culture, screening new chemical entities using cell lines for different diseases & determining molecular mechanism of action. Thorough knowledge for studies in biological evaluation and on, with expertise in designing and performing molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
Desirable: Ph.D. with post doctoral experience in basic molecular biology and cell biology. Good knowledge of experimental techniques such as Real time PCR, Confocal microscopy
02. SCIENTIST ‘C’ [GR.IV(2)] 15600-39100 + GP-6600 PB-3
C9 Chemical Biology Biomarker (1 Post)
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in a Biological discipline, with one year in the relevant area.
Job Requirement: Seeking an individual who value innovation and have drive to utilise the opportunity of playing an integral role in an interdisciplinary team.
Desirable: To keep abreast of emerging technologies for biomarker identification and quantification, as well as of strategies for incorporation of biomarkers into clinical studies. We are seeking candidates with extensive knowledge of protein quantisation methods (e.g. ELISA, Luminex, Western blot, quantitative IHC, Mass spectrophotometer), general molecular biology skills, micro array analysis and proficiency in assay development, validation and data analysis. Biomarker discovery research, including use of new molecular profiling technologies, and translational research experience are essential for this position. Preference will be given to the candidate having Post Doctoral experience in the field of biomaker discovery.

Post Code: EI 3 (1 Post) Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in Bio-sciences including Animal Sciences specifically in neuroscience / CNS with four years experience.
Job Requirement: To be part of Chemical Biology group and carry out R&D activities as a team member. Lead and coordinate Interdisciplinary research in neuroscience & CNS drug discovery. Assist senior scientists in undertaking developmental projects. To guide young researchers in both basic and applied research in the area.
Desirable: Post-doctoral experience abroad with proven track record in the form of publications. Ability to lead independent research group in neuroscience & CNS drug discovery; experience in screening of chemical compounds for potential drug candidates, transgenic and gene targeting approaches to understand molecular basis of neuronal plasticity and behavior.
Post Code: EI 4 (1 Post) Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in Biochemistry /Pharmaceutical sciences including Animal Science with four years experience.
Job Requirement: To be part of Chemical Biology group and carry out R&D activities as a team member. Required to take joint/independent charge of R&D activities in areas related to cardiovascular dysfunctions and cancer. Assist senior scientists in undertaking developmental projects. To guide young researchers in both basic and applied research in the area.
Desirable: Post-doctoral experience abroad with proven track record in the form of publications. Experience of independently handling R&D programmes in the area of cardiovascular diseases preferably vascular dysfunctions. Knowledge in cell-based and target-based assays for endothelial dysfunctions, mechanisms of atherosclerosis, nitric oxide biology; development of animal models. Expertise in screening of
chemical compounds for potential drug candidates.
04. SCIENTIST ‘EII’ [GR.IV(4)] 37400-67000 + GP-8700 PB-4
EII 2 Immunology (1 post)
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in Immunology with seven years research experience in the field of immunology.
Job Requirement: Coordination of Interdisciplinary research in immunology as part of chemical biology group. Carry out joint/independent R&D activities in immunology and as a team member undertake developmental projects for the institute; to develop a small research group to carry out research in the area of immunology for different applications and develop new research programs in the
area; to guide young researchers in both basic and applied research.
Desirable: Post-doctoral experience abroad with proven track record in the form of publications. Candidate should possess an excellent track record in innovative basic and/or translational research related to immunity, tolerance, autoimmune diseases, vaccine development, immunopathogenesis of infection or transplantation. Have extensive knowledge of monoclonal antibody preparation, test method development such as ELISA for antibody/antigen and general molecular biology skills. Experience of independently handling R&D programmes in the area of immunology. Aptitude for playing an integral role in an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of handling sophisticated analytical equipments.
05. SCIENTIST 'F' [GR.IV(5)] 37400-67000 + GP-8900 PB-4 (4 posts)
F4 Chemical Biology (1 post)
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in Cytogenetics and Molecular Biology with ten years research experience preferably four years research experience in Genomics and RNA technology.
Job Requirement: Being the senior position, the candidate has to generate and execute new ideas and take them to fruition. Ability to interact with research groups and coordinate activities of junior scientists would be very essential. Has to design, conduct, interpret and report in vitro and in vivo biological studies. Conduct research by using state-of-the-art biochemical and molecular biology tools working in an array of biological systems, drug development and delivery of the novel drugs,
