The School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland is widely acknowledged as one of the leading Schools of Biomedical Sciences in Australia. The role: A PhD Scholarship is available to support research into trans-synaptic signaling at neuromuscular synapses. The project will require a motivated student who has the ability to work independently and who has an interest in immuno-localisation of molecules and subsequent imaging of such molecules in 2D and 3D. The person: Applicants should possess undergraduate and/or honours experience in one or more of the following areas; cellular neuroscience, immuno-histochemistry, electron microscopy, confocal imaging and molecular biology. Remuneration: The remuneration package will match current APA Scholarship rates. This is a 3 year tax free scholarship of $22,500 per annum, with an optional 6 month extension.
