SUMMER RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2010 AT IIT DELHI

IIT Delhi has instituted a prestigious summer research fellowship programme for
providing an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students of NITs,
Delhi College of Engg., NSIT and BITS-Pilani for Top ten of the classes to execute
an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT
Delhi faculty. The fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a casual student; she/he will
not be required to pay institute registration fees.
About the Fellowship  
Duration  
The Fellowship work can be done in a period of 8-12 weeks which
can be availed of during at most two visits.
Support The fellowship will cover the following:
(a) cost of travel in the country, to and from IIT Delhi;
(b) stay at IIT Delhi during the visit(s), including boarding and
lodging in the Institute hostels; and
(c) a fellowship of Rs. 500/- per week.
The fellow will have to pay the insurance charges.
Eligibility Any undergraduate student, who has completed at least 2 years of
study towards an engineering degree, is amongst top ten positions
in her/his respective programme will be eligible to apply for this
fellowship. Students who will be completing this requirement by
May 2010 are also eligible.  
How to apply
Application The application form should be downloaded from IIT Delhi website.
The applicant must contact IIT Delhi faculty in whose area she/he
wishes to execute research and get faculty member’s concurrence
in writing on the form. She/he should submit the following:
(a) Application form duly recommended by IITD faculty member
(b) Resume
(c) One consolidated grade card; and rank in class.
(d) No Objection Certificate from the parent institution stating the
starting and ending dates for carrying out full time research
work at IIT Delhi under the fellowship programme.
(e) One photograph (Passport size), pasted on the application
form.
(f) One reference letter in a sealed envelope.

Deputy Registrar UGS, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi 110 016.

The Intellectual Property Group is seeking a Patent Analyst to perform reference and literature searches for crop genetics to ensure their critical needs for data and information are met. Navigates DuPont internal resources to fulfill needs.
Responsibilities include,
· Searching - Conducts intellectual property, literature and/or current awareness searches for business and technical information using appropriate information sources, such as on-line databases, Internet and hardcopy published information. Types of searches include, but not limited to gene sequence, citation, technology status, or company and industry profiles, with a significant emphasis on patent searching. Seeks assistance from technical analysts or subject-matter experts in setting up strategies for more complicated searches.
· Technology Mapping / Analysis - Analyze the search results and generate reports.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will join the regulatory science group as a research scientist to lead the technical writing capabilities and manage third party biosafety studies to support the regulatory submission of biotechnology derived crops.

2. The successful candidate will lead writing regulatory submissions including but not limited to regulatory applications, field trial reports, report generations from studies conducted both in house as well as outsourced biosafety studies.

HBCSE carries out research and development in education in science, technology and mathematics from primary school up to undergraduate level.
