MTech – Three semesters in TNAU : January 2011 to April 2012
Eligibility
Final year students of TNAU and other Indian State Agricultural Universities including Veterinary Sciences who are currently undergoing (Eighth semester) or completed the following degree programs are eligible to apply.
B.Tech. (Food Process Engineering)
B.Sc. (Agri)
B.Sc. (Hort.)
B.Tech (Hort.)
B.Tech (Biotech.)
B.Sc. (Home Science)
B.Tech (Ag. Engg.)
B.S. (ABM)
B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering)
B.V.Sc.
B.Sc.(Dairy Sciences) / B.Sc.(Sericulture)
A candidate who has an Over All Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 7.00 out of 10.00 or 70% aggregate alone is eligible.
Candidates should have written TOEFL with score above 80 and GRE tests with score above 1100 for MPS program at Cornell University.
Method of selection For TNAU
Indian Nationals
I. Candidates are required to be present on the specified date for a written test in TNAU, Coimbatore at their own expenses. Request for change in the date/time will not be granted.
II. Attach all true copies of necessary documents with application and originals of the same should be produced for verification at the time of written test.
III. The distribution of marks/grade for selection is as follows:

IV. Candidates will be ranked according to the marks/points obtained and a list will be sent to Cornell university. Cornell University will select the candidates by conducting video conference interviews and based on their TOEFL /GRE scores.

Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will receive an acceptance letter by e-mail / post. At which time they are required to pay the prescribed fees on or before the date specified by the Dean, School of Post graduate Studies. Candidates who fail to follow procedures will be deleted from the selection list and vacancies will be filled up from the waiting list.
Selected candidates must join the MPS program at Cornel university on 1st June 2010 and M.Tech program at TNAU in January 2011.

Selected candidates should pay a special fee of Rs. 20,000/-per semester in addition to the regular semester fees - I Sem 15,300 INR , II Sem 5,560 INR, III Sem 6,450 INR.

v. Copy of Passport
Selected candidates who pay the fees on the notified date but fail to register on the specified date or fail to inform within seven working days from the date specified for registration are liable to forfeit all fees paid.
Candidates who discontinue after admission (or) registering the courses are not eligible for refund of any other fees
